Family. Growth. Service.
Alpha Epsilon Delta is a pre-professional honor society for undergraduate students preparing careers in the healthcare professions. We strive to build a community that embraces the best aspects of diversity, comradery, and professionalism.
The mission of our society is to encourage and recognize excellence in premedical scholarship; stimulate an appreciation of the importance of premedical education in the study of medicine; promote cooperation and contact between medical and premedical students and educators in developing an adequate program of premedical education; to bind together similarly interested students; and use its knowledge for the benefit of health organizations, charities, and the community.
There are over 150 AED chapters in the United States, and we currently stand as the best chapter in the entire country. At the 2014 national convention, we won the overall outstanding large chapter award, regional attendance award, and regional activities award.
Across campus, we are active participants of the Professional Fraternity Council and have also placed in Professional Greek Week for multiple years.
About Us
Family.
AED is not only a network of inspiring, energetic, and motivated students, it also fosters friendships that last a lifetime. Many AED members become roommates and lifelong friends. If you are looking for a community of people with similar interests and career aspirations AED is the place for you!
Growth.
Our organization forwards professional growth through our weekly meetings with healthcare professionals, shadowing opportunities, an extensive alumni network, as well as professional development resources.
Service.
AED members and pledges participate in community-oriented volunteer work throughout the year. We volunteer with national organizations and student organizations here on U-M’s campus. Volunteering with fellow AED members during service events is an incredibly fun and engaging way to become closer with the AED family and members of our community.
